Refund policy

Return & Replacement-Parts Policy

We have a 14-day return policy for eligible items shipped within the United States.
You have 14 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.

Orders shipped outside the United States are not eligible for return, except where required by local consumer law.


1. Eligibility for Returns (Non-Apparel Items)

For board games, accessories, and other non-apparel items:

  • The order must have shipped to a United States address.

  • Items must be unopened, unused, and in the original packaging.

  • Board games must have intact shrink wrap, unpunched components, and unopened card packs.

  • A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

Opened games can only be returned if they arrived defective, damaged, or missing components.

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.


2. Apparel & Print-On-Demand Items (Fulfilled by Printful)

Apparel and certain merchandise in our store are fulfilled on-demand by Printful.
These items follow different return rules:

Printful’s Conditions (Required):

  • Returns for apparel are accepted only if the item is defective, damaged, or mis-fulfilled (wrong item, wrong print, etc.).

  • Returns or exchanges for size, color, or buyer’s remorse are not accepted.

  • Claims for defects or mis-fulfillment must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.

  • In most cases, Printful does not require the defective item to be returned; they will provide a replacement or refund.

If you received a defective or incorrect apparel item, contact us at orders@grimmsteel.com with clear photos so we can submit a claim.


3. How to Start a Return (Non-Apparel Items Only)

Email orders@grimmsteel.com with:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photos if the item is damaged or defective

Items sent back without authorization will not be accepted.

Unless the issue is our fault (wrong item, defective item, damaged shipment), you are responsible for return shipping.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.


4. Damages, Missing Parts & Replacement Parts

Inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or missing components:

If the issue is covered under our fulfillment or manufacturing policy, we will send replacement parts at no additional cost when available.


5. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Orders shipped outside the United States

  • Apparel or print-on-demand merchandise unless defective or mis-fulfilled

  • Opened board games (unless defective, incorrect, or missing parts)

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Gift cards

If you’re unsure about an item's eligibility, contact us before opening it.


6. Exchanges

For non-apparel items:
The fastest method is to request a return and, once approved, place a new order.

For apparel:
Exchanges are only possible if the item is defective or mis-fulfilled; size or preference-based exchanges are not available.


7. Refunds

Once your return (if eligible) is received and inspected, we’ll notify you of approval or rejection.

Approved refunds:

  • Are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days

  • May take additional time to process depending on your bank or card provider
